Applications for Fall 2024 are closed for this project.
Have you ever read a research article and wondered if the authors truly tested the research question they purported to test? The focus of this project concerns the evaluation of research methodology. You would work primarily with a senior graduate student in the lab on her research. It is an evolving project, so tasks/topics are subject to change, and input is more than welcome. Having an interest in learning about rigorous empirical research methods is a requirement. Having a strong background in methods is a plus.
Role: Research apprentices in our lab will gain experience with many aspects of the research process such as:
- Conducting experiments via MTurk/CloudResearch
- Conducting literature searches
- Obtaining permission to conduct research with human participants via IRB
- Collecting and analyzing data in R
- Proofreading research materials and papers
