Our lab group studies human judgment and decision making, and are currently investigating cultural differences and similarities between people in the United States and in China.
In this position you will work with Professor Leif Nelson on a variety of projects within the Behavioral Lab (BLab) and for the MORS and Marketing groups at Haas. You will be programming studies in Credamo. You must be fluent (speak/write/translate) in Mandarin Chinese and English.
Overall, this apprenticeship entails a commitment of a minimum of 3 hours a week for the semester. Though sometimes hours per individual week may vary. We expect that this will be an excellent learning and hands-on research experience.

Role: - BLab: Get acquainted with BLab practices, research procedures, and actively contribute to regular lab meetings and the lab's functionality.
- Project Management: Be at the helm of expanding BLab's offerings to various departments and handling diverse projects within BLab
- Independent Data Work: Delve into coding, analyzing, and understanding complex data sets
- Survey and Experiment Design: Hone your skills in developing and refining survey designs, using experimental methods tailored to reveal meaningful insights
- Cultural Insight: Engage closely with an active behavioral science group, offering cultural perspectives and insights
Qualifications: - Language Proficiency: Fluent/native speaker of Mandarin Chinese
- Interest in Science: Passion for the process and conduct of scientific research
- Personal Traits: Motivated, conscientious, eager to learn, excellent in communication, and meticulous attention to detail
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work well with others and lead participants through experiments
