This interdisciplinary project seeks to explore and investigate the intricate realms of judgment and decision-making, blending insights from social psychology, behavioral economics, and cognitive science. Our central focus is understanding how the framing of a situation or problem can significantly alter human behavior and choices.
What You Will Explore:
As a part of this team, accepted students will delve into a myriad of topics that connect the cognitive processes of judgment with practical applications. Current areas of interest include:
- AI in Healthcare: Analyzing ethical considerations and consumer preferences
- Consumer Behavior and Decision Making: Studying how different factors influence choices
New topics will be introduced and developed over the semester, and students have the opportunity to pursue subjects they feel passionately about.
All applicants should have a strong interest in psychology and decision making research. Preference will be given to those applicants who have already demonstrated this interest through coursework or other research experiences.

Role: - Research Design and Execution: Develop materials, conduct lab and field studies, and analyze data
- Learning and Development: Receive comprehensive training on experimental design, statistical methods, and current literature to ensure the experience is enriching and relevant to your interests
Qualifications: - Analytical Skills: Intermediate ability in analyzing datasets using R/Python
- Coursework: Completion of at least one relevant data science or statistics class
- Knowledge Base: Familiarity with statistics and data science concepts
- Professional Skills: Strong interest in scientific research, motivation, conscientiousness, eagerness to learn, excellent oral/written communication, and attention to detail
