Applications for Fall 2024 are closed for this project.
The Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality Anti-Discrimination Law brings together academics, advocates and activists from six continents to address issues of systemic inequality and discrimination. Much of our research, administration and leadership is done by Berkeley students, including URAP students. Our current projects include working groups on Sexual Harassment/Violence, Disability Rights, Pay Equity, Global Systemic Racism, LGBTQI+ Rights, Digital Equality, Climate Equality, and Equity and Criminal Justice. Most of our work is done remotely.
Role: Students help plan conferences and workshops, conduct research, and help lead/administer the Center. In 2024-25 students will assist our working groups planning webinars, help edit our journal, help publicize our book on the Global #MeToo Movement, help draft our annual report, and help create an extensive data base to create a network of individuals and organizations working on diversity issues.
Day-to-day supervisor for this project: Charlie Tsunoda, Staff Researcher
Hours: to be negotiated
Off-Campus Research Site: Most of our work is done remotely.
