I am seeking a Research Assistant to support a law and finance project under my supervision at Berkeley Law. The work will involve scraping and analyzing corporate filings from the SEC website. The position requires strong proficiency in Python, including web scraping and data processing, and experience with large language models (LLMs). Basic familiarity with corporate finance and business terminology is also preferred. This work will provide students with valuable business skills that are highly applicable to careers in finance and business.
Role: Programming in python and manual validations of the code
Qualifications: Python, LLMs, ChatGPT, basic knowledge of business and finance
Day-to-day supervisor for this project: Ofer Eldar
Hours: 12 or more hours
Off-Campus Research Site: Hours can be negotiated, but the work requires at least 10 hours per week.
