We are looking for an energetic undergraduate passionate about moral, political, and legal philosophy who can help with the intellectual life of the Kadish Center. You'll be involved in helping to choose events and speakers, enagaging in their work, and helping to foster a broader audience among undergraduates in particular for work in normative theory.
Role: -- You will help the faculty directors of the Center plan for events, this year and next, helping advise on topics and speakers likely of broad interest.
-- You will attend, when possible with your schedule, philosophical events of the Kadish Center.
-- You will help with publicity for events, including designing posters and flyers.
Learning outcomes:
-- You will learn about the cutting edge of contemporary normative theory. (This will be excellent preparation for graduate school.). You will have the chance to engage directly in academic conversations with the world's leading philosophers.
-- You will develop your skills in graphic design and audience cultivation.
-- You will receive lots of informal mentoring from Kadish-affiliated faculty.
Qualifications: -- A demonstrated interest in moral, political, and legal philosophy (through coursework, ideally at Upper division level).
-- An interest in engaging in discussion about these topics.
-- Some skills in graphic design.
