Lea Grinberg, Professor
UC San Francisco
Applications for Fall 2024 are closed for this project.
Are you from Computer Science and want to know how to program in an agile project? Ok, this position is for you! We must have all our sample inventory organized… but it is time to be modern! We need a web application to do that! Do we know exactly how the software application needs to be? No! So, we are creating this project to develop a web software application, import a bunch of data, and implement natural language-assisted query filtering in an agile concept.
The student will work in a highly collaborative group with people with diverse backgrounds: neurologists, and biological and computer science scientists. The student will perform computational analysis, and reports for internal/external journal clubs… They will also be encouraged to collaborate with other Memory and Aging Center members. This experience will prepare the applicant to work with a lot of programming and database skills.
Role: Role: For this position, we are looking for a student strongly motivated to work with web programming languages (PHP+JavaScript+HTML+CSS+SQL). The applicant will also be requested to write scripts to import existing data (Excel spreadsheets) to the new web application, data report, and users’ activities reports.
