This position entails tasks associated with researching in the humanities. It is well-suited for students who can work independently and are willing to dedicate at least of 3-5 hours of time in their week.
Role: The apprentice will learn a variety of skills: researching specific topics, reading through scholarly texts and reconstructing bibliographies, taking notes as required, and researching bibliographic and textual databases on specific topics. The apprentice will be asked to fetch books and occasionally scan texts.
Weekly check-ins by email or virtually on Zoom are required.
Qualifications: Freshmen are welcome, more advanced standing in the humanistic disciplines, including history, preferred. Reading of French, Italian or German a plus.
This semester the topics that I may help researching include: Ancient Rome-Ancient India trade connections, Indian devotional imagery, etc.
Hours: 3-5 hrs
