Closed. This professor is continuing with Spring 2025 apprentices on this project; no new apprentices needed for Fall 2025.
Reduced nerve density is an anatomical hallmark of neuropathy. We’ve identified candidate regulators of this process and will test their effects on nerve density in animals.
Role: Students will learn about how to prepare, acquire, and analyze immunohistochemical staining of nerves in the mouse skin.
Qualifications: We seek students who are passionate to learn about biology and motivated to conduct experiments in a laboratory. No prior experience is required, but attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are essential.
