Experimental Research in Fluid Dynamics

Mechanical Engineering
Applications for Spring 2025 are closed for this project.
We have a few experimental research projects in the area of fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, aerospace engineering, and ocean engineering. These are serious research projects that potentially can be done by undergraduate students. By serious it means that there is a potential for publication or presenting your results in national and/or international conferences. The scope of these projects are relatively small, so that they can be done within a semester or two, but it requires time commitment.
Role: Each student will be in charge of one full experiment. Responsibilities include
Conducting experiments,
Measurement,
Error analysis,
documenting results
Qualifications: Interest in experimental fluid dynamics
Prior research experience is a major plus,
minimum commitment of 12 hours/week.
Hours: 12 or more hours
