Description of Research:
Sleep problems negatively impact mental and physical health. However, relatively few providers are trained in evidence-based treatments for sleep problems. Our team (the Golden Bear Sleep and Mood Research Clinic directed by Dr. Allison Harvey) trained providers working in community mental health centers to deliver an evidence-based treatment for sleep problems. After the project ended, we conducted interviews with providers to evaluate whether they are still using the sleep treatment over the long term. For this study, we will be qualitatively coding these interviews. Findings from the interviews will help the field better understand how to sustain evidence-based treatments in "real world" clinical practice settings.
Role: RA Responsibilities:
Research assistant/s will start by correcting interview transcripts. They will then be trained to qualitatively code the interviews. Research assistants must be organized, punctual, responsive, thorough, attentive to detail, communicative, and eager to contribute to the field of clinical psychology. Some weeks will be lighter than others but having the flexibility to work 6-10 hours a week is required
Qualifications: Students will be assigned to various lab crews based on interest and demonstrated skills. There may be opportunities in the future to be involved in more advanced projects with direct clinical exposure.
Hours: 9-11 hrs
